Okay so Mitte is the heart & centre of Berlin - historically, culturally & administratively. Mitte is what it says on the tin: the "middle". The two busiest hub streets are Unter den Linden & Friedrichstrasse, the best shops concentrating between the latter & Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse. All Saints, Adidas Originals, American Apparel, Levi's, Acne Jeans, Titus Skate Shop, Converse; the list is bottomless. One store in particular cathed my glimpse, The Stab in Gipsstrasse. This sneaker-oriented store offered rarities & special artist collaborations by Adidas, Nike & New Balance. The store also offers tees, books & posters. "1990 was a great year" (by Nike). Or perhaps one to hang up just in front of your bed: "be really fast" (also Nike). The most extravagant set in on the back of the shop, the True Colors Collaboration. It's a colab for the Fifa World Cup 2010 with six artists from six countries. Sweet stuff.
After doing the Mitte tour, got a nice falafel for a price of double cheeseburger. It's beautiful that you can eat in almost every street block with just some change. Oh, and a case of beer liquidates only the red note of 10. You can't hate this place, Berlin is a true player. So it goes.
