17th Floor Views

Okay so tonight started with a little practical problem. After a few home-made GTs we started gathering the needed apparel. I guess a few days of mere snacking had made some of us skinny, so these shorts one of us was wearing were dropping all over his knees. Well, we have no belts so desperate times call for desperate measures. We came up with this, pretty fucking geek.

We headed to this old acquaintance of ours, a cool shisha bar just around the neighborhood in Friedrichshain on Krossener Strasse. Well the place had changed its name, interior & supposedly its owners, because after a few seconds of innocent chat we were asked to keep our noises down. We ordered beers and two sets of shishas, the House Blend & Double Apple (both priced at 5,50€). The smokes were just fine, it's a damn shame how shitty service can damage the whole experience. A real deal-breaker.

Hopped into cabs & headed with this crazy-ass Turkish chauffeur driving 90km/h on a 40 zone to Alexanderplatz 5, into Weekend club. The place boasts a jaw-dropping view over at the rooftop all the way up on 17th floor. You can embrace the whole city, always with the omnipresent groovy bass itching your ear. The bouncer-owner of the place was at first a bit unwilling about letting us in, but after a few jokes the guy was pure gold. So we were on this elevator taking us all the up into 17th floor, Johnny Cash singing on the backround, the perfect setting. The club had two distinct spaces, the indoors 15th floor dance space (pretty fucking quiet) & the epic rooftops-terrace (sardine-packed). The toilets even had these sort of built-in coasters for drinks, just beside the urinals!

With beer at 4€, you happily pay the extra euro for the scenery overlooking whole Berlin. Just a cultural curiosity, we counted 12 churches on the nearby neighborhood. We ended up talking to these Eastern European girls & one Spaniard. The latina in particular amused us with her randiness. By the end of the evening she had managed to rub each & everyones' groin, & demanded to know how to say "I love bananas" in Finnish. Anyway, we had a blast talking to her. Moreover, this place had a pretty high girl/guy-ratio, so we only bailed well after sunrise, which was pretty as a picture. Here's some pics of the loft. So it goes.

We even found a lost squirrel sitting on my shoulder
